Stone Mountain CKD Est. 1995
The Stone Mountain Choi Kwang Do school was opened in 1995 in the Stone Mountain Square Shopping Center. After three years it shut down, then re-opened in April 1998 in a small dance studio. Several students and instructors from the previous Stone Mountain school stayed with the school during its re-opening. After a few months, the school was moved to the LaPetite Day Care Center Gymnasium in June 1998 where the school still is today and remains one of the oldest CKD schools in Georgia. The Stone Mountain school has promoted over 40 students to black belt, over 15 second degrees, 9 third degrees, and 2 fourth degrees. The school also has a demo team with top of the line students that was established in Aug 2004 and is still going strong today. The Stone Mountain School has an extremely dedicated group of students, assistant instructors, and instructors that work very hard to keep the school going, and the school would not be where it is today with them. Thanks to all that have contributed to the success of Choi Kwang Do Martial Art International and the Stone Mountain Choi Kwang Shool! PIL SUHNG!
